Yesod is a strategic consulting firm advising on social change in Israel and the Jewish world to its primary agents: businesses, philanthropists and the Israeli government. Just as in any strong corporation, the CEO has a strategic advisor to help him/her transform their vision into a reality, Yesod brings that same strategic support to projects and policies relating to Jewish communities and Jewish Peoplehood. At Yesod, we believe that in implementation of all programs, projects, and initiatives, maximizing and leveraging the dollar, understanding the targeted communities, and taking measured and effective steps in the development and implementation of programs, projects and initiatives are essential to success.
Yesod works to build long term relationships with its clients, supporting them on idea processing, strategic mapping, providing information on targeted communities, and step by step strategic consultation throughout the process.
Services Provided:
- Strategic consulting to increase your competitive advantage on issues relating to different Jewish communities in Israel and around the world, from the North American Federations to the global Haredi network. This includes understanding background and environment, organizational structure, motivations, culture and modus operandi, varied and nuanced language, as well as red lines and alliances.
- Project Mapping Development and Evaluation clients’ current and potential projects, products, investments and services as well as their implications on entire Jewish communities or specific segments.
- Project Building – We work with philanthropists and organizations to transform a vision into a specific on the ground project with targeted population bases.
- Pre-Implementation Mapping – A smart, socio-cultural mapping of a community, municipal authority or any other population in order to optimize the first steps of approach and interaction. What is the social structure of the population? How are people connected to each other? Who are the leaders, speakers, and role models of the community? What institutes are relevant for taking part in the social action?
- Evaluation Research – A short or long term evaluation of social projects, including assistance in defining goals for the project and developing tools for measuring them.
- Cultural Research – Research that emphasizes the cultural perspective, since many social projects involve working with different ethnic groups, each with their own cultural attributes. This provides useful data that can prevent cultural gaps and minimizes obstacles.
- Local Monitoring – For social projects that are spread among many communities, we form a net of local coordinators who collect data that is delivered to us for analysis at any time interval (once a month etc.). This ensures “real time monitoring” and understanding of what is going on in each community: the problems, challenges, successes, etc.
- Identifying and providing back end support for investments and investment leveraging with potential partners and entry points for market penetration, and socially responsible investments. The actual content of the assessment differs in accordance to the relevant partner (government, individual philanthropist, business firms, North American Federations, Foundations, and others) and adapted to the specific case and need.
- Procuring meeting opportunities with the potential partners counterparts. Providing preparatory analysis prior to and following the meeting and “back end support” throughout the entire process.
- Developing an approach for penetrating a new market, including:
- Assess clients’ opportunities, challenges, and risks in relation to the cultural uniqueness of the targeted community and focusing market research accordingly.
- Support in adapting any products to a specified sector with an eye towards culture and sensitivities.
- Identify and assess key entry points into the targeted Jewish community client base and strategize to minimize entry obstacles.
- Map potential interested investment partners to maximize positioning.
- Assess clients’ opportunities, challenges, and risks in relation to the cultural uniqueness of the targeted community and focusing market research accordingly.
- Delivering internal seminars which brief key team members on the targeted community or market segment, tailored for the client’s area of interest.
- Developing suggested implementation tools for the designed strategy.
- Assisting in developing positioning and media strategy in the relevant Jewish and sectoral press.
- Providing conference support including vision, presentations, and positioning on issues relevant to Jewish Peoplehood. Yesod attendance where requested.
- Developing a “community scan” which details all communities involved or influenced on a particular issue. This includes a listing of primary and secondary characteristics, communities’ expected reactions to the issue both strategically and ideologically, and adjustments or modifications which may be more acceptable to the parties involved.
Our services are tailor-made to the specific needs of the client, with a creative approach and an in-depth understanding of the client’s vision and underlying motivations.
These services are provided with the utmost professionalism and expertise not only in the Israeli community, but for organizations, and communities around the world.
